Acidified potassium dichromate is orange in colour and it can be effectively used to detect that if a person have consumed alcohol or not🍻. when potassium dichromate is in reaction with ethanol, dichromate oxidises to acetic acid and it itself reducted to green chromatic salt.
It means that this potassium dichromate turns into green from its original orange colour, when it detects alcohol
Ethanol is dissolved in person's blood when he was drunk and can be detected while he breath
